Start with the workload
Server selection starts with applications, concurrent users, data growth and acceptable downtime. We assess vendor requirements before choosing hardware or a virtual environment. A new server should fit the actual workload and the resources available for its ongoing operation.
Windows Server and access
Depending on the agreed scope, work may include Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file sharing and Group Policy. Access is assigned by role rather than giving every user administrative rights. Network settings, dependencies and administration responsibilities are documented.
Migration with a return plan
Before moving data or applications, we map dependencies and verify usable backups. The maintenance window, user checks and rollback conditions are agreed in advance. After migration, we check application access, authentication, file permissions and printing with the relevant users.
After installation
Delivery includes agreed operational checks, not simply turning the server on. Backup jobs, resource usage and update requirements need continuing attention. Send us your application names, user count, current server details and target date so that we can scope the work and identify licensing or vendor-support dependencies.
